The Michael Shane Group (MSG) is a privately held real estate advisory firm that specializes in the acquisition and disposition of real estate investments and the performing of due diligence and related studies on behalf of institutional and private equity investors. Founded by Michael Levy in 2005, MSG is unique in offering a variety of equity participation levels to both large and small investors as well as the opportunity for individual participants to share collectively in asset control and management strategy. MSG is licensed and authorized to do business in the states of Florida, New York and California. Our primary goal is to provide premier personal and corporate real estate advisory, consultation, brokerage and asset management services to private equity and institutional clients. Our core focus is helping real estate property owners and investors maximize their revenues by assisting them in identifying, locating, acquiring and managing their real estate assets and portfolios in addition to providing a complete array of due diligence services including entrance and exit strategies. Michael Levy, President of The Michael Shane Group, is originally from New York City. Mr. Levy worked in residential real estate for a nationwide realty firm after graduating from Binghamton University in 1988. In 1995, he began his career in corporate real estate advisory services joining The Galbreath Company, a national real estate development and property management firm. In 1999 Mr. Levy was recruited by Newmark Knight Frank, the largest privately held commercial real estate firm in the country, headquartered in New York City. As Managing Director, Mr. Levy ran an office portfolio of over 4 million square feet, developing leasing strategies for institutional landlords. He also identified, located and acquired properties and facilities for major office tenants including several Fortune 500 companies. In 2005, Mr. Levy moved to Tampa, Florida and upon the formation of The Michael Shane Group he also successfully launched a national real estate franchise directing day-to-day business operations including the sales and financial management of the company. Mr. Levy currently remains one of two controlling principals as well as a majority shareholder.
